  • Camp Equipment
    Updated On: Jan 21, 2016

Camp Konocti is a fully equipped summer camp providing for all the basic needs of its campers. There are shelters, a structured educational and recreational program, a well-trained, professional staff of counselors and managers, a variety of recreational equipment, and expertly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks. Campers need only bring those personal items and equipment they will use during their free two week vacations at Camp Konocti.

The following is a list to help you organize your packing for your child's two week stay at Camp Konocti. It may not include everything your son and daughter could need for camp, but it does provide some basic guidelines.

If your camper has special needs, such as activity restrictions or medical needs, be sure to provide written instructions for the camp staff when you drop off your camper.

    RECOMMENDED

    • Sleeping Bag and Pillow
    • Toiletries
         Toothbrush and toothpaste
         Shampoo
         Soap
         Hairbrush or comb
    • Towels (recommend at least 2)

    • Pajamas
    • Underwear
    • Socks
    • Sun hat, baseball hat
    • Sunglasses

    • Sandals, flip flops (recommend 2 pairs)

    • Body lotion for dry skin
    • Chapstick/lip balm
    • Stationary, pens, and stamps
    • Water bottle

    OPTIONAL:

    • Fishing tackle
    • Sport equipment (baseball glove, football)
    • Musical instrument
    • Camera
    • Book, magazine, comics
    • Swimming goggles
    • Lifejacket
    • Something white to tye dye in Arts-&-Crafts (t-shirt, socks, pillowcase etc.)

Every session there will be at least one dance and the campers like to look nice and “dress-up.” This does not mean formal; it just means causal, maybe nice jeans and a nice shirt for boys and maybe a skirt for girls.

NOTE: Each piece of clothing and equipment brought to Camp Konocti must be clearly marked with the owner’s name. Laundry is done weekly, so you need to pack only one week’s worth of clothing.
