Service Technician

UA Local 38 is seeking experienced HVAC/R Service Technicians to join our highly skilled workforce.

Qualified applicants must have:

• A minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration (HVAC/R) industry
• A valid California driver's license
• A clean driving record
• Documentation verifying work experience

Applicants may be required to complete a placement examination to assess their skill level.

Experienced journeymen may be eligible for immediate placement with one of our signatory union contractors. Candidates who do not meet journeyman-level qualifications may be considered for admission into our apprenticeship program.

Local 38 is part of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada,  known as the UA. Chartered in 1947, Local 38 currently represents approximately 2,500 members in San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties. Local 38 has a proud history of struggle, winning some of the best wages, working conditions and benefits in the UA and throughout the entire labor movement.
